Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp

Mark 4:21-25

21 And he said to them, Does the lamp come that it should be put under the bushel or under the couch? Is it not that it should be set upon the lamp-stand? 22 For there is nothing hidden which shall not be made manifest; nor does any secret thing take place, but that it should come to light. 23 If any one have ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear; with what measure ye mete, it shall be meted to you; and there shall be more added to you. 25 For whosoever has, to him shall be given; and he who has not, even what he has shall be taken from him.

Luke 8:16-18

16 And no one having lighted a lamp covers it with a vessel or puts it under a couch, but sets it on a lamp-stand, that they who enter in may see the light. 17 For there is nothing hid which shall not become manifest, nor secret which shall not be known and come to light. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever has, to him shall be given, and whosoever has not, even what he seems to have shall be taken from him.

Romans 4:21-25

21 and being fully persuaded that what he has promised he is able also to do; 22 wherefore also it was reckoned to him as righteousness. 23 Now it was not written on his account alone that it was reckoned to him, 24 but on ours also, to whom, believing on him who has raised from among the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 who has been delivered for our offences and has been raised for our justification, it will be reckoned.
