Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp

Mark 4:21-25

21 And he said unto them, Is a lamp brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a lampstand? 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come into the open. 23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what you hear: with what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that has, to him shall be given: and he that has not, from him shall be taken even that which he has.

Luke 8:16-18

16 No man, when he has lighted a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a lampstand, that they who enter in may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come to light. 18 Take heed therefore how you hear: for whosoever has, to him shall be given; and whosoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.

Romans 4:21-25

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.
