Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp

²¹ And he said to them, Is a candle brought to be cut under a bushel or under a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick? ²² For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested, neither was any thing kept secret, but that it might come abroad. ²³ If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear. ²⁴ And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you, and to you that hear, shall more be given. ²⁵ For he that hath, to him shall be given; but he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

¹⁶ No man having lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they who come in may see the light. ¹⁷ For there is nothing hid that shall not be discovered, neither any thing concealed, that shall not be known and come to light. ¹⁸ Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even what he hath.

²¹ And being fully assured, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. ²² And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. ²³ Now it was not written on his account only, that it was imputed to him, ²⁴ But on ours also, to whom it will be imputed, if we believe on him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. ²⁵ Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
