Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp

Mark 4:21-25

21 And he said to them, Is a candle brought to be cut under a bushel or under a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick? 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested, neither was any thing kept secret, but that it might come abroad. 23 If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you, and to you that hear, shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given; but he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Luke 8:16-18

16 No man having lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they who come in may see the light. 17 For there is nothing hid that shall not be discovered, neither any thing concealed, that shall not be known and come to light. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even what he hath.

Romans 4:21-25

21 And being fully assured, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written on his account only, that it was imputed to him, 24 But on ours also, to whom it will be imputed, if we believe on him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
