Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp

²¹ And He said to them, "Is the lamp brought to be put under the measure, or under the bed! Is it not, that it may be put on the lampstand? ²² For there is nothing hid, except that it should be manifested; nor was anything made secret, but that it should come to light. ²³ If any one has ears to hear, let him hear." ²⁴ And He said to them, "Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you; and more will be added. ²⁵ For he that has, to him shall be given; and he that has not, from him shall be taken away even what he has."

¹⁶ "And no one, having lighted a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a lamp-stand, that those coming in may see the light; ¹⁷ for nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; nor hidden, that shall not be known, and become manifest. ¹⁸ Take heed, therefore, how ye hear; for whosoever has, to him shall be given; and whosoever has not, even what he seems to have shall be taken from him."

²¹ and being fully assured that what He had promised, He was able also to perform. ²² Wherefore also it was reckoned to him for righteousness. ²³ Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was reckoned to him; ²⁴ but for ours also, to whom it will be reckoned, if we believe on Him Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead; ²⁵ Who was delivered up for our trespasses, and raised for our justification.
