Leviticus 17:1-7 - The Place Of Sacrifice
1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying, 2 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and say to them, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded, saying, 3 Any man of the house of Israel who kills an ox or lamb or goat in the camp, or kills it out of the camp, 4 and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer as offering to Jehovah before the tabernacle of Jehovah, blood shall be charged to that man; he has shed blood. And that man shall be cut off from among his people, 5 so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them to Jehovah, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to the priest, and offer them for peace offerings to Jehovah. 6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savor to Jehovah. 7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices to goats, after whom they have gone whoring. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.
