24 therefore, whoever heareth these instructions of mine, and puts them in practice, I will compare him to the prudent man, who built his house upon a rock: 25 the rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew, and beat upon that house: but it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. 26 but every one that heareth these instructions of mine, and practiseth them not, shall be compared to a fool who built his house upon the sand: 27 the rain descends, the flood rushes on, the winds blow, and beat upon the house: down it falls, and wide are its ruins.
