Matthew 16:1-4 - The Signs Of The Times

¹ And the Pharisees and Sadducees having come to Him, tempting Him, asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.

² And He responding said to them, It being evening, you say, It will be fair weather: because the sky is red: ³ and in the morning, It will be stormy to-day: for the lowering sky is red: ye hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the sky: but are you not able to discern the signs of the times? ⁴ A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. And no sign shall be given it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah. And leaving them, He departed.

⁵⁴ And he also spoke to the multitudes, When you may see a cloud rising from the west, you immediately say, that the rain cometh; and it is so: ⁵⁵ and when the south wind is blowing, you say, that it will be hot; and it is so. ⁵⁶ You hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the earth and the firmament; and how do you not discern this time?
