Acts 16:1-5 - Timothy Accompanies Paul And Silas
1 And he came to Derbe and Lystra; and behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewess, who was a believer; but his father was a Greek. 2 A good report was given of him by the brethren in Lystra and Iconium. 3 This man Paul wished to go with him: and he took him and circumcised him, on account of the Jews that were in those places: for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees that had been resolved on by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem, that they might keep them. 5 Therefore, the churches were established in the faith, and they increased in number daily.
