The name to be applied to Israel in the time of restoration. It is to take the place of Lo-ammi (= 'not my people'), the name given in the first instance by Hosea to Gomer's third child, but in the prophetic fragment, Ho 1:9-11 [in Heb 2:1-3], referred to the people of Israel.
And the LORD said, "Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not My people and I am not your God." Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered; And in the place Where it is said to them, "You are not My people," It will be said to them, "You are the sons of the living God." read more.
