See, the former things have taken place, and I'm announcing the new things before they spring into being I'm telling you about them."

"As the LORD lives," Micaiah replied, "I'll say what my God tells me to say."

"None of the advisors, enchanters, diviners, or astrologers can explain the secret that the king has requested to be made known. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he is making known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the latter days.

And those whom he predestined, he also called; and those whom he called, he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.

May grace and peace be yours in abundance!

This is how God fulfilled what he had predicted through the voice of all the prophets that his Messiah would suffer.

"A shoot will come out from the stump of Jesse, and a branch will bear fruit from his roots. The Spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD. He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he didn't open his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. "From detention and judgment he was taken away and who can even think about his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living, he was stricken for the transgression of my people. For in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate actually met together with unbelievers and the people of Israel to oppose your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, to carry out everything that your hand and will had predetermined to take place.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God's unique Son.

and by which you are also being saved if you hold firmly to the message I proclaimed to you unless, of course, your faith was worthless.

Since, then, we are working with God, we plead with you not to accept God's grace in vain. For he says, "At the right time I heard you, and on a day of salvation I helped you." Listen, now is really the "right time"! Now is the "day of salvation"!

For you know very well that no immoral or impure person, or anyone who is greedy (that is, an idolater), has an inheritance in the kingdom of the Messiah and of God. Do not let anyone deceive you with meaningless words, for it is because of these things that God becomes angry with those who disobey.

See to it, my brothers, that no evil, unbelieving heart is found in any of you, as shown by your turning away from the living God.

For it is impossible to keep on restoring to repentance time and again people who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have become partners with the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of God's word and the powers of the coming age, and who have fallen away, as long as they continue to crucify the Son of God to their own detriment by exposing him to public ridicule.

Now there were false prophets among the people, just as there also will be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.

But there are some among you who don't believe..." - because Jesus knew from the beginning those who weren't believing, as well as the one who would betray him.

So Jesus told him, "In that case, the subjects are exempt. However, so that we don't offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook. Take the first fish that comes up, open its mouth, and you will find a coin. Take it and give it to them for me and you."

Then Jesus told them, "All of you will turn against me this very night, because it is written, "I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' However, after I have been raised, I will go to Galilee ahead of you." But Peter told him, "Even if everyone else turns against you, I certainly won't!"read more.

Jesus told him, "I tell you with certainty, today, this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you'll deny me three times."

But Jesus said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you deny three times that you know me."

Jesus answered him, "Would you lay down your life for me? I tell you emphatically, a rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times."

Now before the Passover Festival, Jesus realized that his hour had come to leave this world and return to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

He said, "Go to a certain man in the city and say to him, "The Teacher says, "My time is near. I will celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house."'"

Then he began to teach them that the Son of Man would have to suffer a great deal and be rejected by the elders, the high priests, and the scribes. Then he would be killed, but after three days he would rise again.

He said, "The Son of Man must suffer a great deal and be rejected by the elders, the high priests, and the scribes. Then he must be killed, but on the third day he will be raised."

I have a baptism to be baptized with, and what stress I am under until it's completed!

Because I tell you, what has been written about me must be fulfilled: "He was counted among the criminals.' Indeed, what is written about me must be fulfilled."

Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

Then Jesus said, "I'll be with you only a little while longer, and then I'm going back to the one who sent me.

For he knew who was going to betray him. That's why he said, "Not all of you are clean."

You have heard me tell you, "I'm going away, but I'm coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice that I'm going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

"So now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world existed.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was going to happen, went forward and asked them, "Who are you looking for?"

After this, when Jesus realized that everything was now completed, he said (in order to fulfill the Scripture), "I'm thirsty."

The Son of Man is going to come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay everyone according to what he has done.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all "the tribes of the land will mourn' when they see "the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven' with power and great glory. He'll send out his angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they'll gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to another."

Then people will see "the Son of Man coming in clouds' with great power and glory. He'll send out his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven."

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels are with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes with the holy angels in his Father's glory."

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and the holy angels.

The Messiah had to suffer these things and then enter his glory, didn't he?"
