(1.) A town in the south of Palestine (Ge 16:14), in the desert of Shur, near Lahai-roi.
(2.) A son of Shuthelah, and grandson of Ephraim (1Ch 7:20).
1. Near Beer-la-hai-roi (Ge 16:14). Identified by some with Elusa.
1. An unknown place, mentioned but once (Ge 16:14) as an indication fixing the site of Beer-lahairoi. The identification with Halasah, which has been suggested, is mere guess-work. 2. See Becher, No. 1.
