applied to the glittering point of a spear (Job 39:23) or sword (Na 3:3), the blade of a dagger (Jg 3:22); the "shoulder blade" (Job 31:22); the "blade" of cereals (Mt 13:26).
The handle went in after the blade, and the fat closed around the blade, for Ehud did not pull the sword out of his belly.
then let my arm fall from the shoulder, let my arm be broken off at the socket.
The charioteers will charge ahead; their swords will flash and their spears will glimmer! There will be many people slain; there will be piles of the dead, and countless casualties -- so many that people will stumble over the corpses.
When the plants sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared.
