Bo'az, Bo'oz

A wealthy Bethlehemite of the tribe of Judah, who married Ruth the Moabitess and was great grandfather of David. Ruth 2 - 4; 1Ch 2:11-12; Mt 1:5; Lu 3:32. Boaz is a type of Christ who in a future day will raise up the name of the dead in Israel through the returned but desolate remnant.
