It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto you in order, most excellent Theophilus,
And provide them mounts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.
Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sends greeting.
We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
Then Paul, after the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Since I know that you have been for many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
And as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go your way for this time; when I have a convenient time, I will call for you.
But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and good sense.
