brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentils, and parched pulse,

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as a garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink;

So the steward took away their delicate food, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.
