Shu'nammite, The,
i.e. the native of Shunem, is applied to two persons: Abishag, the nurse of King David,
and the nameless hostess of Elisha.

So they sought a fair young woman, throughout all the bounds of Israel, - and found Abishag, the Shunammite, and brought her in, unto the king.
So Bath-sheba went in unto the king, into the chamber, now, the king, was very old, - and Abishag the Shunammite, was ministering unto the king.
And she said unto him - Say on. And he said - Speak, I pray thee, unto Solomon the king, for he will not turn away thy face, - that he give me Abishag the Shunammite, to wife.

So she went her way, and came unto the man of God, unto Mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her, opposite, that he said unto Gehazi young man, Lo! this Shunammitess!
