Sprinkle, namely, with blood to atone for guilt, as the high priest did (Le 4:6; 16:14,19), or with water for purifying (Nu 19:18-21; Ac 2:33). So Messiah (Isa 52:15; Heb 9:13-14; 1Pe 1:2).
