And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered, because it lacked moisture.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will slay and persecute:

And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

And ye will be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsmen, and friends; and some of you will they cause to be put to death.
