Acertain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

Jesus loved Martha and her sister, and Lazarus.

And as soon as she had so said she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, "The master is come and calleth for thee."

And Jesus said, "Take ye away the stone." Martha, the sister of him that was dead, said unto him, "Lord by this time he stinketh. For he hath been dead four days."

There stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene.
