This is the order of them in their offices, to come into the house of the LORD according to their manner under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel commanded. The rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael. Of the sons of Shubael, Jehdiah. Of the sons of Rehabiah, the first, Isshiah. Of the Izharites, Shelomoth. Of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath. And the sons of Hebron were Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth. Of the sons of Uzziel, Micah. Of the sons of Micah, Shamir. The brother of Micah was Isshiah. Of the sons of Isshiah, Zachariah. The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Jaaziah, Beno. The sons of Merari: by Jaaziah. Beno, Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri. Mahli had Eleazar which had no sons. The sons of Kish: Jerahmeel. The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth. These are of the children of Levi in the households of their fathers. And these cast lots next to their brethren the sons of Aaron, before David the king and Zadok and Ahimelech and the ancient heads and priests of the Levites: as well the youngest brother as an ancient head.

And they cast lots: the small as well as the great in the households of their fathers, from gate to gate.
