And David will lie down with his fathers, and be buried in the city of David.

And he will die in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son will reign in his stead.

Men, brethren, it is permitted to speak with freedom of speech to you of the patriarch David, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is with us even till this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God swore with an oath to him, of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up Christ to sit upon his throne:
