For the service of God's house they gave 185 tons of gold and 10,000 gold drachmas,; 10,000 darics weighed about 185 pounds. 375 tons of silver, 675 tons of bronze, and 4,000 tons of iron.


Based on what they could give, they gave 61,000 gold coins, 6,250 pounds of silver, and 100 priestly garments to the treasury for the project.

20 gold bowls worth 1,000 gold coins, and two articles of fine gleaming bronze, as valuable as gold.

Some of the family leaders gave to the project. The governor gave 1,000 gold drachmas, 50 bowls, and 530 priestly garments to the treasury. Some of the family leaders gave 20,000 gold drachmas and 2,200 silver minas to the treasury for the project. The rest of the people gave 20,000 gold drachmas, 2,000 silver minas, and 67 priestly garments.

"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your own hand.
