Beth-horon » Two ancient cities of canaan, near which joshua defeated the amorites
[This] was the border of the descendants of Ephraim according to their families: the border of their inheritance to the east [was] Ataroth Addar, up to Upper Beth-horon.

The border passes [on] from there to Luz, to the slope of Luz to the south (that [is], Bethel); then the border goes down to Ataroth Addar to the mountain that is south of Lower Beth-Horon.
And Yahweh threw them into panic before Israel, who struck them [with] a great blow at Gibeon and pursued them by the way of the ascent of Beth-horon and struck them as far as Azekah and Makkedah. One division turned on the road to Beth Horon, and one turned on the road toward the border overlooking the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.
And his daughter [was] Sheerah, and she built Lower and Upper Beth-Horon and Uzzen-Sheerah.

And his daughter [was] Sheerah, and she built Lower and Upper Beth-Horon and Uzzen-Sheerah. And Rephah [was] his son, and Resheph, and Telah his son, Tahan his son, Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son, Nun his son, Joshua his son.
