In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijam began to reign over Judah. He reigned three years in Jerusalem. So King Rehoboam established himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city in which the Lord had chosen from all the tribes of Israel to put His Name.
