And the rest of the deeds of Abijam and all that he did, are written in the book of the deeds that were done in the days of the kings of Judah. And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam. And Abijam rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his stead.

And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maacah the chief ruler among his brethren, for to make him king.
