And he carried out thence all the treasure of the house of the LORD, and the treasure of the king's house, and brake all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made, in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said. And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the lords and all the men of might, to the number of ten thousand, into captivity - and all craftsmen and Joiners, none remaining save the poor people of the land. And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his chamberlains, and the mighty of the land carried he away from Jerusalem to Babylon. And all the men of activity to the number of seven thousand, and craftsmen and joiners a thousand, all strong and apt for war, did the king of Babylon bring to Babylon to dwell.

And he did that displeased the LORD, in all things as his fathers had done. And Pharaoh Neco put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath in the time of his reign in Jerusalem, and put the land to a tribute of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. I came not against thee now at this time, but against a house with whom I have war, and God bade me haste. Leave off therefore and meddle not with God, which is with me, lest he destroy thee." Nevertheless, Josiah turned not his face from him, but made him ready to fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Neco out of the mouth of God.
