Absalom also sent for Ahithophel, the Gilonite, of David's counsel, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong, for the people increased continually with Absalom.

So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David, but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom, the Gittite. Again, David gathered together all the chosen of Israel, thirty thousand. So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David, but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom, the Gittite. So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim. And David went up with all Israel to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which is in Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who dwells between the cherubim, whose name is called on it. And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and his brother drove the cart. read more.
