Timothy » Paul's love for
I give you this command, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies once made about you, that by them you may fight the good fight,
For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every church.
But you know that he has proved his worth, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.
to Timothy, my true child in the faith: grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
to Timothy, my beloved son: grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day. As I recall your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy.
