Gad came that day to David, and said to him, "Go up, build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite." David went up according to the saying of Gad, as the LORD commanded.

Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to tell David that David should go up, and raise an altar to the LORD in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spoke in the name of the LORD.
