Abinadab » A levite, in whose house the ark of God rested twenty years
The people of Kiriath Jearim got the Ark and took it to Abinadab's house on a hill in their town. His son Eleazar took care of it. It stayed there for twenty years. During this this long period of time everyone in Israel was very sad and begged Jehovah for help.
They took it from Abinadab's home on the hill and placed it on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the cart. Ahio walked in front.
They moved the Ark of God from Abinadab's house on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio guided it.
Abinadab » Also called ishui, son of saul
Saul's sons were Jonathan, Ishvi, and Malchishua. The names of his two daughters were Merab the firstborn daughter and Michal the younger daughter.
The Philistines caught up to Saul and his sons. They killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul's sons.
Abinadab » Son of jesse
Jesse called Abinadab and made him pass before Samuel. Samuel said: Jehovah has not chosen this one either.
Jesse's three oldest sons joined Saul's army for the battle. The firstborn was Eliab, the second was Abinadab, and the third was Shammah.
