And David departed from there and escaped to the cave Adullam; ; and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down there to him. And every one that was in distress and every one that was in debt and all whose souls were bitter gathered themselves unto him, and he became the captain over them, and there were about four hundred men with him.
