Thus lord LORD showed me: And, behold, a basket of summer fruit. And he said, Amos, what do thou see? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then LORD said to me, The end has come upon my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.
LORD showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of LORD, after Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the rulers of Judah, with the craftsmen One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe, and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten they were so bad. Then LORD said to me, What do thou see, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs. The good figs, very good, and the bad, very bad, that cannot be eaten they are so bad.
