from Tappuah the border goes to the west, [to] the wadi of Kanah, and {it ends} at the sea. This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Ephraim according to their families,
Then the border goes down [to] the wadi of Kanah to the south of the wadi. These cities [belong] to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh. The border of Manasseh [is] north of the wadi, and {it ends} at the sea.

From there they set out and encamped at the valley of Zered.
Verse Concepts
So [now] arise and cross over the wadi of Zered yourselves; and [so] we crossed the wadi of Zered. Now the {length of time} that we had traveled from Kadesh Barnea until [the time when] we crossed the wadi of Zered [was] thirty-eight years, until the perishing of all of that generation; [that is], the men of war from the midst of the camp as Yahweh had sworn to them.
