Then they compelled a certain man, Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to carry his cross.
Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to carry his cross.
And a great multitude of the people followed him, and women who also mourned and lamented him.
