Then the king of Israel sent for the elders of the land and said, "Take heed I pray you and see, how this fellow goeth about mischief. For he sent unto me, for my wives and my children, and my silver and my gold: and I denied him nothing of it." And all the elders of Israel and all the people said, "Hearken not to him nor consent."
