Soldiers » Crucified jesus
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one for each soldier, besides his shirt. Now his shirt had no seam; it was woven in one piece from top to bottom. So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but let us draw for it, to see who gets it." This was to fulfil what the Scripture says: "They divided my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots." This was what the soldiers did.
Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the barracks, and got the whole battalion together about him.
