And there were two thieves crucified with Him: one on his right hand, and one on the left. And they that passed by reviled Him, shaking their heads, and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it again in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross. read more.
And in like manner the chief priests also insulting Him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others, himself He cannot save: if He be the king of Israel, let Him come down now from the cross, and we will believe Him: He trusted in God, let Him deliver Him now, if He will own Him; for He said, I am the Son of God. And one of the thieves also, that were crucified with Him, cast the same reproach upon Him.

And when they were come to the place which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him and the malefactors: one on his right hand and the other on his left. And the people stood looking on, and even the rulers also with them derided Him, saying, He saved others, let Him save Himself, if He be the Christ the chosen of God. And the soldiers too insulted Him, coming to Him and offering Him vinegar, saying, If thou art the king of the Jews, save thyself. And there was a superscription written over Him in Greek, and Latin and Hebrew letters, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. And one of the malefactors that were executed with Him reviled Him, saying, If thou be the Messiah, save thyself and us.
