Nation » Peace given by God
I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create calamity. I am Yahweh, who does all these things.
Yahweh gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Yahweh delivered all their enemies into their hand.
"Isn't Yahweh your God with you? Hasn't he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh, and before his people.
For David said, "Yahweh, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
