Emptiness » Emptiness or vanity of the worldly life (ps 3911; 629)
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
I said in my heart, Come now, I will test you with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity.
Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: if laid on the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
When you with rebukes do correct man for iniquity, you make his beauty melt away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after him shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and grasping after the wind.
Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
