Thou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yes, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldst not be satisfied. Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan to Chaldea; and yet with this thou wast not satisfied. How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious lewd woman;

And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors. Who were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses. Thus she committed her lewd deeds with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.
