And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was leading before them; and they were amazed; and following, they were afraid. And again taking the twelve, he began to say to them the things about to happen to him, For, behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and scribes; and they shall condemn him to death: and shall deliver him to the nations: And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall be raised up.

And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and he said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And they shall deliver him to the nations to mock, and scourge, and crucify: and he shall be raised the third day.

And taking the twelve, he said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things written by the prophets shall be completed to the Son of man. For he shall be delivered to the nations, and be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon: And having scourged, they shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise. read more.
And they understood nothing of these things: and this word was hidden from them, and they discerned not the things spoken.
