Thus hath the LORD said, Go and buy a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the elders of the people and of the elders of the priests;
Take great stones in thine hand and cover them with clay in a brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates;
at the same time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. And the LORD said, Like as my slave Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia, so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
Thus hath the LORD said unto me: Make thee bonds and yokes and put them upon thy neck;
