And Jehovah will say to Abram, Go for thyself from thy land, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, to the land which I will shew thee.

And the sun shall be going down, and it was thick darkness, and behold a furnace of smoke and a lamp of fire that passed over between these pieces. In that day Jehovah cut out a covenant with Abram, saying, To thy seed gave I this land from the river of Egypt, to the great river, the river Euphrates: The Kenites and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites; The Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims; And the Amorites and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
