For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about and made obeisance to my sheaf.

And they said, Thy slaves are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not. And Joseph said unto them, That is it that which I spoke unto you, saying, Ye are spies: Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth from here unless your youngest brother comes here. Send one of you and let him bring your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison that your words may be proved, whether there is any truth in you; or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies. And he put them all together into prison for three days. And Joseph said unto them the third day, Do this and live, for I fear God. If ye are men of the truth, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison; go ye, carry food for the famine of your houses but bring your youngest brother unto me, so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.

And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which they had in their hand in the house and bowed themselves to him to the earth. And he asked them of their welfare and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spoke? Is he yet alive? And they answered, Thy slave our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright and the youngest according to his youth; and the men marvelled one at another. And he took and sent portions unto them from before him; but Benjamin's portion was five times as much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were drunk with him.
