Patience » Being patient
We urge you, brothers, to admonish those who are idle, cheer up those who are discouraged, and help those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
Therefore, having so vast a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, and throwing off everything that hinders us and especially the sin that so easily entangles us, let us keep running with endurance the race set before us, fixing our attention on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of the faith, who, in view of the joy set before him, endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Think about the one who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you may not become tired and give up.
So be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious crop from his land, being patient with it until it receives the fall and the spring rains. You, too, must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the coming of the Lord is near.
Be devoted to each other with mutual affection. Excel at showing respect for each other. Never be lazy in showing such devotion. Be on fire with the Spirit. Serve the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in trouble, and persistent in prayer.

Pleasure » Who cannot please God
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.
Indeed, those who are under the control of human nature cannot please God.
For you need endurance, so that after you have done God's will you can receive what he has promised. For "in a very little while the one who is coming will return he will not delay; but my righteous one will live by faith, and if he turns back, my soul will take no pleasure in him."

The one who is testifying to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon!" Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
"See! I am coming soon! How blessed is the person who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book!"
I am coming soon! Hold on to what you have so that no one takes your victor's crown.
Let your gracious attitude be known to all people. The Lord is near:
