And after six days Jesus took Peter and James and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain out of the way, and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his clothes were as white as the light. Then answered Peter, and said to Jesus, "Master here is good being for us. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud shadowed them. And behold, there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is my dear son, in whom I delight; hear him." And when the disciples heard that, they fell on their faces, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, "Arise and be not afraid." Then lift they up their eyes, and when they looked up, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
