Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will abolish the bow and the sword and the battle from the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. And I will betroth you unto me forever; yea, I will betroth you unto me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth you unto me in faithfulness: and you shall know the LORD. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will answer, says the LORD, I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth; And the earth shall answer with grain, and wine, and oil; and they shall answer Jezreel. And I will sow her for myself in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them who were not my people, you are my people; and they shall say, you are my God.

I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you: and I will not enter into the city. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall come trembling from the west. They shall come trembling as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, says the LORD.
The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long where children are born. I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: pity shall be hid from my eyes.
