“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
‘How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, Whose foundation is in the dust, Who are crushed before the moth!
“He has built his house like the spider’s web, Or as a hut which the watchman has made.
Behold, the Lord God helps Me; Who is he who condemns Me? Behold, they will all wear out like a garment; The moth will eat them.
While I am decaying like a rotten thing, Like a garment that is moth-eaten.
Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten.
Therefore I am like a moth to Ephraim And like rottenness to the house of Judah.
