Then the high priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, What shall we do? for this man does many signs. If we let him thus alone, everyone will believe on him, and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and the nation. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all read more.
nor consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation be lost. And this he spoke not of himself; but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation; and not for that nation only, but that he should also gather together in one the sons of God that were scattered abroad. So that from that day forth they took counsel together to kill him. Jesus therefore no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there unto a country near to the wilderness into a city called Ephraim and there continued with his disciples.

Then the Pharisees went out and took council against him that they might destroy him. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from there; and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; and strictly charged them that they should not make him known;
But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea
