When I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, what is man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him?
Tell Me, if you have
or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?
If God puts no trust in His servants and He charges His angels with foolishness, how much more those who dwell in clay houses, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed like a moth!
Can a man be of [any] use to God? Can even a wise man be of use to Him? Does it delight the Almighty if you are righteous? Does He profit if you perfect your behavior? Does He correct you and take you to court because of your piety? read more.

How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure? If even the moon does not shine and the stars are not pure in His sight, how much less man, who is a maggot, and the son of man, who is a worm!

Look at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds high above you. If you sin, how does it affect God? If you multiply your transgressions, what does it do to Him?
